The National Urban League is a historic civil rights organization dedicated to economic empowerment, equality, and social justice.

The Urban League of Greater Richmond works to provide economic empowerment, educational opportunities and the guarantee of civil rights for the underserved in the Cities of Richmond and Petersburg and includes the Counties of Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover.

Seeking Visionary Leaders

Since 1913, the Urban League of Greater Richmond has been a leader in this nation’s civil rights movement. In March 2026, we're seeking passionate leaders with skills in legal, finance, public relations, marketing and community connections (locally and statewide) to join our Board of Directors as we create purpose-driven impact.
